In at Jackson, Mississippi....

Cruised up the Natchez Trace Parkway for about 85 miles or so, and then stopped in at the Clinton, Mississippi Visitors Center for a stamp-

Then, our second day in a row of drama for finding the campground.  The GPS was totally off, wanting to send us 15 miles north of town.

Fortunately, I scoped out the web site for the park and it warned do NOT follow GPS directions.  No worries, I got directions of a sort from the nice folks at the VC.  A bit vague, so we called ahead to the park.

Bette misunderstood the direction come back over the Interstate, so we got going in the wrong direction-  much discussion there, for sure.  Got turned around on a busy 4 lane street, and then got confused by the signs for the park, which it turns out there are basically two locations, an office, and the park itself.  We got to the park ok, after following the directions, and no one was in the office building, a guy came up and told us to just go to the site, which we did.

Turns out to be an ok site, lakeside, good 50 amp wattage, good water pressure, and we are betting we have the only spot that has full tv reception- lots of trees here.

We're all settled in, and had a nice lunch, then this afternoon, we're heading out to the Mississippi Craft Center, and another VC on the Parkway-  then rest for a bit.

Tomorrow, we are doing a day trip over to Vicksburg for the National Park there, and to get some new stamps and some civil war trading cards for my two buddies.
