Good stamping today!

We passed by Baton Rouge on the big bridge over the Mississippi River, and waved good by to the three sites we had planned to visit there:  the State Capitol, State capitol visitor center, and the USS something that is moored at the city docks.

No worries- catch it next time-

After a 116 miles or so, we stopped at the Butte La Rose Visitor Center for another Atchafalaya stamp, got it after figuring out the VC was on the other side of the rest stop-  panicked for a bit, but did find the stamp, and a nice VC too.

Then, we got over to the Wal Mart at Lafayette, which we have stayed at before, and got settled in after a 175 dollar fuel stop at a Flying J just up the road-

Got settled, then got permission from the security dude to park overnight, then headed a short hop down the road to revisit the Lafayette Unit of Jean Lafitte NHP and Preserve to get the Atchafalaya Stamp, which I got with no problem.  This is also a very nice VC.

Got the stamp here also.
Then, about a 40 mile run up the road and back to a unit of Jean Lafitte I had not visited yet; the Eunice, Louisiana Unit.  So I was able to get to here, visit, and complete my units now for Jean Lafitte, and I also got a Atchafalaya stamp there.

And, my stamps from here:

Got back to the coach about 3, then we went shopping for a few things at the Wal Mart, and now are having a bit of a rain storm-

Tomorrow, a few miles up the road to Alexandria, La, where I will park the coach, and then run up to three sites for the Cane Creole park, which is one I have not yet been to.  We will overnight at the Wal Mart in Alexandria, then head over to Natchez, Miss, so I can get the Natchez NHP, which I also don't have.
