Busy visit from the Derry's

We had the pleasure of a drop in visit from David Derry and his two lads who were on a trip to see the National Parks of St Augustine and Jacksonville-  They arrived on Tuesday evening, just in time to go to our local famous restaurant, Jim's-  next day, we headed on down to Ft Matanzas, and did that park, then went downtown to the Castillo de San Marcos, then we went on St. George Street for a bit, and ate lunch-  forgot that we also stopped in at the St Augustine Lighthouse-  then they went swimming at the pier for a short bit before a rain shower came in-
Yesterday, we headed up to Jacksonville and got in Ft. Caroline and Timucuan EHP- then they headed up to Amelia Island and then made their way back home to Roanoke, Va., and got home safely.

Had a great visit, and hopefully,we'll meet up with them again on the road someplace.

One of the boys made us a gift of a mounting board for my park pins in the shape of the National Park Shield, and it is super!!  Thanks guys!
Andy also went with me yesterday, and we included a stop at Mayport Coast Guard station so he could get his medallion for his memorial bell-

This morning, I ran over to see Susan, so I got my haircut and beard ready for the trip.
Bingo tonight-
Next week, we are running back down to Wildwood and fix three minor things on the motor home that we needed parts for-  may run over to see Bette's cousin and brother at New Port Ritchy.
