This week's pond viewings

Lots of feathered activity at the pond this week-

This is a younger fellow, his feathers are sill in molt  Pretty eyes.

A more mature version of the youngster above.

This guy pranced like a Prussian Field General for about 20 minutes up and down the bank

Awww, first time we've seen momma and babies- She was teaching them how to hunt, it looked like.

We also had some web footed creatures about:

Buster loves to chase these little guys all around the lot-

I have an appointment tomorrow at 3 to See Dr Brian about this shoulder/hip mess.  I was at coffee this morning and one of my coffee mates gave me a tip to pass along, and said he had an identical issue, and it was solved in two days by taking Prednisone- which I'd much rather do that go into a 4 month long rehab exercise program like Bette had to do for her shoulder.  We'll see how that goes.  Be nice if that were the silver bullet.

Having our first cold snap of the year, guess its the tail end of Sandy swirling around- temps were in the high 30's this morning for a bit, and the daytime highs were only to be mid 60's.

Had a conversation with Brandon yesterday, says he is interested in maybe going to the Citadel in Charleston for College-   Well good!  We'll be arranging a visit for him to go down for a day or so and take a look-  maybe over the spring break in April
