Left Greenwood this morning at about 10 and ran over to Newberry-
Stopped by Crowder Road at the old farmstead and took some photos, the old place has been spiffed up by the new owners, they have removed the old home place, which is a new development, taken down several of the old outbuildings, and added a sign, now calling it Oak Hill Farm.
Then, we stopped in at the Opera House, and to our surprise, found Lillya there, so we had a good hug and handshake for that- Debbie Smith was out at the radio Station...
Then, to Wal Mart to say hi to Lina Marston, and get some batteries for the camera, then on down to Sheer Genius to see Megan, she's looking wonderful, then over to Prosperity to call on Dee and David Hamm, who are in the midst of opening up another restaurant venture, Momma Dee's Family Restaurant- can't wait to go back and be fed!!!!
While there, we ran into old pal John Chapman, who was doing the electrical work for the place, and had a nice chat with him- we learned little John was in the area working at Sligh's Superette, so we were able to stop by and say hello to him also on the way home.
The Restaurant is very much in the construction mode, and the men were busy setting up the kitchen area, unloading equipment- Dee was interviewing and running the front of the house. Son Shaun will help with the cooking duties, and it will be grand!!
Dave and Dee's little grandchild was there, and she is precious!
We headed over to Roma's Italian for a great lunch, thank you brother Dave!!!
The grandbaby crashed, too much activity!
Then, we headed back to Greenwood, great seeing our old buds!!! May run back over that way Thursday, so we can take in a football game with Dante Meade- hear he's beasting the field!!
