Re visit to New Bedford Whaling NHP

I decided against driving 90 miles over to Bristol CT for a ball and pin, (to which the Commander heartily agreed, btw)  and we instead went on over to New Bedford for a revisit to the New Bedford Whaling NHP.  Had been there last in 2010.  Got all the stamps, except forgot to ask about the 25th anniversary one.
Watched the movie this time, and we checked out a couple of the shops nearby, and stopped in again at the big antique shop in the old Mill Building along the water, but didn't get anything.  We tried to go to a Friendly's for lunch, but forgot they have closed a lot of them up here, so we hit a McDonalds instead.

Got a call from the boat tour folks about the Tuesday trip, they are working on the boat, so the 1130 cruise is now the 200 cruise.  No worries, and they even gave us a $10 refund.

The campground here at Cape Cod is jammed.  We forgot that this campground does not do well at all in the rain, it floods, there are great potholes of water, etc etc, plus a nasty dirt road as the entrance.  Yuk.  Plus is has hundreds of little rug rats running around, and last night there was a DJ and they were all up at the pavilion until 10 pm....  hundreds of them!!!  well, maybe 200.

There are lots of folks we know/knew from Wells/Sturbridge and all, doing the "circuit"  here.  Nice to see all of them again.

Free day tomorrow it looks like, may have to do a laundry.

hstenerDeventWe enjoyed that area in 2010 also. We visited in Sept. and stayed at a State Park, we had it to ourselves as the season was ending. We're in a COE campground in KY. And yes had about 10 rugrats in the sites across from us. But they all left this morning. Around 200 sites and only about 5 units here tonight.
