National park # 164 of 395- Guilford Courthouse
Slept in this morning to 930. We decided we would have a short travel day- so we headed 50 miles up the road to Greensboro, NC, for our next park, the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.
This was the scene of one of the major battles of the American Revolutionary War, and there is about 200 acres you can walk around in to get the feel of the day's events. There is a nice VC with lots of displays, and there was a 30 minute movie, but we didn't get to see that.
Got a pin, 2 stamps, and a postcard. One more of the list of NC sites, think we have like 4 more to complete the state.
Stopped by a Wal mart to get our flu shot (who doesn't,) ate lunch at Subway, then headed on home.
Tomorrow is dinner with the Markowskis up in Clemmons, then early Tuesday, we are off to Chattanooga, if Ship's can take us in time, and the campground didn't get flooded out and made useless from our last visit a couple of weeks ago....
