Sunday, August 7th, what the hell, just go to Chattanooga!

Got up this morning early, and felt like driving so we did.

701 miles all the way to Chattanooga!  We are in the parking lot of Shipps, ready to have the coach in for work in the morning, two full days ahead of schedule.

14 hours total today, moving average 58 mph, moving 12 of those hours, stopped for 2.  Believe our fuel average was 8.6 mpg, which is the best for a long trip so far-  We made a conscious effort to stay at 60 on this trip, and it was all Interstate.

We followed and then caught up with a huge thunderstorm system, and drove through a good storm the last 40 miles or so- so the coach got a good cleaning from all the dirt and road gunk we had collected in Nebraska.

Got a 11 point list for Shipps tomorrow, most of it is quick repairs, and then I might have some PM work done also... and then I noticed a Cummins dealer on the way in, so I'll probably stop and get the generator serviced too while I am here.

Long day...  but good decision to come on ahead.   We lost an hour due to time zone changes, so its now 1236 am.
Nite!
