Wednesday, July 20th Over to Valentine, Nebraska

We arose early this morning, so we could join Judy and Jerry for breakfast at the ranch cafe-  We had a pair of interesting wait staff, and had some good Jim and Jerry fun with them......

We said our goodbyes, but not before we had a problem with the water system, which we fixed by shutting a valve, and got underway.

We had 222 miles over to Valentine, Nebraska, the home of the Niobrara Scenic River....  We bypassed Wall, SD, home of the famous Wall Drugs, since we had "Been there, done that."  We also bypassed the Auto Museum at Murdo, SD, since we realized we were going to loose an hour due to time zone change.

Coach performed well on this trip, we averaged 7.6 mpg, and arrived at about 4 pm local time.

After set up, I quickly drove a short distance over to the admin office of the Riverway, and got 2 stamps...  Perhaps we will visit the VC a short while up the road in the morning, but it would have been closed by the time I got there.

This is my 150th National Park!!!!!

We are in for the night at a place called Wacky West RV Park- It's an Enjoy America, and it's not much more than a wide spot in the road... We do have 50 amp, and good sat, and it was only 19.50... so it's good for tonight.

Tomorrow, we head on over to Yankton, SD, to see the Missouri River sites there, and then will make a decision about whether or not to head up to Sioux Falls, SD, or head down to Sioux City, SD.  We are getting reports of I-29 being closed due to flooding, so we'll have to check that out.
