While we were parked at Camp Wal Mart in Hays, a fellow with a long black trailer pulled up next to us, and set up for the night. He had a Auto something shirt on, so I put 2 and 2 together, and asked him if he was towing a car(s). He said, would I like to take a look at a car that was worth 3/4 of a million dollars?
The fellow was driving the car to Indianapolis for the Indy 500, there is to big a national rally of old Marmons.... This is a Marmon, 1938 I believe, a one off he was explaining, that had had a complete frame off restoration, of course, and was being shown for its owner in Denver, who was flying in later in the week, in his private jet, one would surmise. Nice treat to see on the road. Brother Bill, I believe he messed up by painting the undercarriage yellow also, no? Shouldn't it have been black?
