Left Blue Springs for a short trip over to Topeka, Kansas, and visited the National Historic Site for Brown Vs Board Of Education, as Topeka was one of the sites of the five combined cases that made up this Supreme Court case.
We discovered a problem on the way over with our fancy schmantzy new Truck GPS, it won't find a satalite, so for now is useless. I'm going to look up the manuals and play with it to see what might be the problem on our visit here to Lake Milford.
Bette called ahead and we discovered that the Brown vs Board site was RV friendly, and it was, just off the Interstate in pretty much downtown Topeka.... we had originally thought we might stop at a Wal mart, unhook, and then go, but wound up saving the time and the unhook- spent about 40 minutes there, then down the road to Exit 290 off I-70 to our current spot, Lake Milford COE which has a Junction City Address, I think.
Total miles over today was 159.
Probably just rest up for the rest of today, tomorrow we are planning to drive over to Abilene, Kansas, for several stops, its just about 20 miles away. In addition to the Eisenhower Library and Museum, there are a couple of other museums, and lots of antique stores, if Bette wants to come along.
