Believe this beautiful specimen is a Blue Heron, he/she was really majestically strutting along the bank this morning.
Bette called me to say she though she saw an Eagle, on closer inspection, think its a ring-tailed hawk- He preened for a few minutes, then went on with his soaring/hunting. Beautiful bird.
My neighbor Ralph said that he's pretty sure this is an Osprey- I now agree, it was too big to be a hawk- it was a huge bird....
