Flagler Air Show

The 2nd annual Flagler Airport Fly in show was today, so off I went with local pal Henry.  They had about 50 vintage and newer aircraft on display, and a loosely organized air show.   We stayed for a couple of hours, spent $7.00 to check it out, then stopped at the Golden Lion in Flagler Beach for lunch.  It was a beautiful day, temps in the mid 70's, no humidity.

The local sheriff's office had a display of their tactical stuff on display, and a helicopter as well.    A piece of surplus Armoured Personnel Carrier, meticulously
restored, custom painted and interior.  the Deputy there said it was used once in the last three years.  Wonder what the response time for this little hummer is
out on a dangerous call on the Interstate?  Right next to it was the "other" tactical response vehicle, an armoured humvee looking vehicle.  They were proud of that one too. They also had a 40 foot motor home mobile command center Compliments of Homeland Security, I believe.

The Yak aircraft, old Russian propeller aircraft, gave a little show, and painted us a heart with their smoke contrails.

Addition to this post, that afternoon at about 4:30, a pilot of one of the Yak aerobatic team unfortunately crashed and died while he was doing a manuver- the FAA will start an investigation.  Sorry to hear about the accident, glad it didn't happen while we were there.
