Astros 5, Marlins 2 Day 1 of the Spring Baseball tour

Left St Augustine about 0830, got to Kissimmee about 1130, after a breakfast stop at Bob Evans, and arrived at Osceola County Stadium.  Beautiful facility-  not used for any minor leage team, just for the Astros.- It is used by an outfit called USSSA for softball.
Started off as a light crowd, then built up to a fairly nice crowd.  We were in the 3rd row right behind home plate- no chance for balls, since we were enclosed in mesh.
This is Dwayne Wise, who signed with the Marlins this summer.  He was a 2 sport star at Chapin High.  I was able to talk with him for about 10 minutes before the game, and he was very gracious.  We had a great talk about how his career is going.  He got in at the 5th inning, up twice, hit the ball both times, had an RBI, and a very nice defensive catch.  I hope he makes the big club.  He is a total class act.

Tomorrow is Lakeland, for a Tigers/Orioles.
