We boarded the tour boat at Patriot's Point for the half hour ride out to Ft. Sumter, where the Civil War had its beginnings. It was a fairly hot day, but a nice boat ride. The boat was slam full. We had originally thought about making reservations, glad we didn't because we actually took an earlier boat than we had originally planned. They have a very good museum at the Fort, and a smallish gift shop. Got three NPS stamps here. This is actually about the 4th time I've been here, but the last official visit, which means I got my pins, postcards, patch, and stamps.
