Dodging a big weather bullet looks like
As you can see from the radar shot here, there is a pretty major line of storms heading just off our coast in the form of a diminished tropical storm, and thankfully it's staying off shore. Those big green blobs represent about 5-10 inches of rain, they are saying on the tv just now. At least Nicole wasn't a hurricane, and they are calling it a "post tropical" storm on tv as we speak. They are saying the storm will be heading right up the coast, and the mid-Atlantic and northeast may get slammed pretty bad. Flooding rains for NC and VA they say. This will be a classic "Nor-Easter" by the time it gets up to Boston and Maine.
