Nice courtesy from the staff of the Elizabethton Twins
We drove a few miles over to Elizabethton, home of the Twins. We had called ahead only to learn they weren't in town, but the fellow Mike who answered the phone said he would meet me at the ballpark and help me get the pin and baseball I wanted. Sure enough, he did, and they didn't have any pins at the store. No worries, we drove a mile back to his office, and a pin was produced, as well as an upcoming team photo from a promotion next week. Super gesture, nice guy, no wonder the team apparantly thrives in town. He was quick to brag that the major league Twins had about 12 players on their roster that were in the bigs. The team is also in first place in their league. Old venue, very rustic, another asterick for non-game attendance.
Pin looks like this
An oldie but a goodie, pretty setting, right in the mountains
