After a fairly long walk from 14th Street, we found our way over to Wall Street to Federal Hall National Memorial. It's located on Wall Street, just across from the Stock Exchange, pictured on the bottom as the view from the front steps of the monument. Frustration here again, no pin! Did get a stamp though. Not a very conversant desk clerk there, didn't speak English very well. I was totally struck by how much the area is under tight tight security- presumably since it is the financial nerve center of the US. It is a veritable fortress down there. Lots of police presence, fences, metal detectors, and such.
