Great surprise tonight

We were pleasantly surprised tonight when Hubert Kinard called and we were able to join up with them in Hyannis tonight for dinner. It was terrific to see them, and we had a super dinner at a local hot spot- Spanky's. It was jammed to the gills, and noisy, but the food was good and well priced. It was great seeing them- Hubert and I were colleagues at Mid Carolina High school, where he continues to teach in the science department. Happy day!

This morning, we went over to a big shopping mall, and got some necessaries, and some fun stuff too. We stopped at a yard sale and believe it or not, I found a little miniture boat bookshelf like I have been looking for for a year to use as a display for my small lighthouses - for 50 cents! Bette found a couple of things, and we wound up donating $7.00, since it was for a school.

Then we got a laptop computer laptop gizmo that was on sale, so I can use the laptop in the back bedroom, and I got a beard trimmer, and a spiffy pedometer, since I'm going to start walking in earnest. We also got a few groceries- and Bette got a pair of pants. All in all a good shopping day.
