Drive by tourism

We started early today 0830, and had decided to do some quick things, since we already drove by some things yesterday. As it turned out, the first two things to see were closed, so we lumbered up the road to the Wright Brothers National Monument. Got there about 9:30 or so. There is a large monument on top of an equally large hill, so I passed on that one. The Hartmans "did" the tour, and we started north around 10 or so.
We hit major major back ups several times on I-95, which is my single not favorite route in the world to travel. Some folks said it was due to the Richmond NASCAR race traffic, but there were the usual merge problems that 95 always has.
Because we weren't positive if we would make DC, we didn't have the accomodations nailed down, it was finally decided we would go with the original sort of plan, us in the Prince Georges Trailer Village, where we are now, and the Hartmans are in a Day's Inn a couple of miles up the road.
I assume the plans as they are now are for them to tour Washington DC tomorrow, think Bette and I will take a pass on that, too much walking. Then I'm guessing the next morning, we'll hook back up and head for Pennsylvania, via Chantilly Va, where Gary has asked to see the Enola Gay display. I'm not positive it is still on display, I'll check tonight. Then after that, we'll head up towards Gettysburg, PA, so Raylene can visit a quilt shop she fancies, then over to Lancaster, PA, for "Amish" stuff they requested.
It turned out beastly hot up here in DC today, it's like 95 and we only have a 30 amp spot, so we can only run 1 air conditioner. Ugh.
