Left Coquina around 9 or so, headed down towards the Cape, which is about 110 miles away- tried to stop at Golden Corral for breakfast, but missed it with the durn GPS, went further down the road, got off and tried to stop at Bob Evans, again the GPS mislead us, said the heck with it and hit IHOP. Had a nice breakfast, but both my order and Raylene's were incorrect- Not to the point of not eating it, but messed up all the same. Din't let it set us back. We hit the Space Center around noon, and parked, and then paid our admission, ($40), no senior discount, and then got on the bus to schlep around the facility. They do three stops, and we did two of the three, and have to say, it was impressive. Lots of propaganda videos, lots of foreign visitors, very friendly staff members, lots of interesting things to see and do. Felt like we got our money's worth, but to really see it all you need maybe 2 days, and then take your time.
Back to Coquina, after failing the GPS test for a third time trying to find a post office, grrrrrrrr, then back home by 6:30. Bette had a terrific dinner made, and we are all soon to crash.
Prospects for an early out tomorrow- then to Savannah, then on to Summerton SC for overnight- I made contact with an old Newberry College chum, Emilee Ellis (Goldman), who graciously has agreed to drive down Friday morning to have breakfast with us. Haven't seen her since 1966!
All in all, a great day. The motor home is 98% loaded, and we're set.
