The day started with a visit to the world famous Summerton Diner, to both eat breakfast, and then to have a quick visit with Emilie Ellis Goldman, whom I went to college with back at Newberry, and hadn't seen since 1966. She was nice enough to drive down from Sumter, about 25 miles away to visit. Great to see her, and thanks, Emilie!
