The Forrest Gump Story

Here is the actual bench, or actually a bench provided by Paramount Pictures, along with the suitcase prop, as used in the Film, Forrest Gump. It is not on location from the film, one finds out, if you do your research before the visit.

Here is the location of the shoot, which is in Chippewa Square in Savannah. We struggled to find the exact location, since it is not marked at all by either the city or the studio. We actually knew we we on it, when as the Hartman's were posing for a shot, a passing by tourist trolly said over the loudspeaker, "where those 2 tourists are standing posing for the photo, is the actual spot of the bench for the movie scenes in Forrest Gump." Huzzah!
