Random thoughts on today-

This is a shout out to my old pals Tommy and Jessica Burke who are now employed at Univ of LA Lafayette- They both went to grad school here, so here you are guys!!!!!
Didn't stop to get a pin, though.

Under things that make RVers crazy, this was the scene today at the Quincy Fl. Flying J. As you can see, there were two regular fuel dummies in "our" RV lanes, and they couldn't get the pumps to work, blah blah blah. Drives Bette insane. On the other hand, it drives the honest to gosh big truck drivers batty when we pull up in "thier" lanes also. This was a case however of all the pumps being jammed 8/9 deep, so these guys just took the easy way out. Honestly, though, as I get older, I think I get less and less stressed about such things. After all, its a fuel pump. If they didn't want non diesel folks there, they wouldn't have had regular fuel, I guess.

475.7 miles is just about what we plan to do with the first day of the Hartman trip, on up to Wilmington, which will be the single longest haul of the trip- So it will be about 10 hours. We finished up just as it was getting dark, so that will work I think, we'll just be sure to leave no later than 0800.
Motor home performed well today after her three month layoff- Doesn't seem to be any feared damage to the water lines from the recent snap of freezing weather- fingers are crossed.
Tomorrow, we're 266 miles into Memphis- staying at a state park north of town, then driving back and forth to St Judes. Bette is talking to Megan as we speak, and we are excited to be there to offer our support.
