Woke up this morning with the generator running most of the night with space heater on to keep from freezing in what had to have been below 30 degree temps, then as we got up at 0700, discovered we were blanketed with 3 inches of snow, and it is still falling as we speak. Not sure what it will do for the towing plans. We're on the outer edge of the white bands of snow, to the north west of Tupelo, which shows clear on the map, and that is where we hope our service tow is coming from. We also can't take the slide out in, because of the snow accumulation.
Update, I just got a call from the tow guys, and I'm getting the same story we get, "we don't do motor homes." It seems International repair shops don't know that the 4200, which in essence is a school bus, is in fact something they do work on. He's calling them back to see if they will take it, or otherwise, there is a shop 150 miles from here that can take us tomorrow. Wonderful.
Seems to be sleeting/raining now.
We're running low on propane, which is a bother, for heating, but have lots of fuel on board, so we can run the generator and stay warm.
Well, they just called us back, and Tupelo won't take the coach. Say they are not set up for big motorhomes. Our service guy is now trying to dispatch a wrecker for us to get over to Columbus Mississippi today, but they can't work on it until tomorrow. Stay tuned.
