This is a close-up of the end of the trailer, which shows how they brace the load, "just like in the movies." There is a lot of lumber on the site, believe me.
This shot is looking a quarter mile down the road from where the big load is sitting, and is in fact the disassembled rig with all the wheeled movers sitting there, being re-rigged by the big crane.
Went over today to check out the moving and reconfiguring being done with the big generator coming through town- They are stopped for up to two weeks to disassemble the current set up and re-mount the load, which is under the red tarp here, on another set of "movers" to navigate it up the road to where it is going. The company commandered (rented) a piece of land on the side of the road by us, and set up shop to do the switchover. Guess the crew stays in motels at nights, and works during the day. You can just make out the three big trucks that move the load down the road at the front of the rig in this shot.....didn't have the big camera, so these will have to do. I'll keep up on the progress and report.
