Wednesday lunch at Flagler Beach

Today, we managed to take somewhat of a respite from running around like madmen trying to get moved in, and headed on down to Flagler Beach, to visit the motor home, which is in storage, and get a few things, and run the generator, and make sure we turned off the LP, which we did, to our relief. The Nova started right up, the generator started right up, and we observed that our storage space is deeply in the shade, which means the inside isn't being cooked in the sun while waiting the next trip, so all is perfect there. We headed on over to the beach, which is three miles away, and had a wonderful lunch at the Golden Lion restaurant, which is literally across the road from the ocean.
Due to skillful planning, I think on Kingston's part, we got there just before the regular lunch crowd got in, and snagged an inside beach front table, which was better, since the wind was pretty steady at about 15-20 mph.... I had a fish taco, which I hadn't had in about 30 years, since we were in California, and man was it good. Bette had a philly cheese steak.

This was the view from our parking space, across the street from the restaurant. Boy, will we go back here everytime we visit the motor home! We were told it costs a dollar to go out on the pier.
We did kind of cheat and run out a little in the morning before we went on the beach ride, and got some more leather placemats at Beall's, went to Hobby Lobby to see if we could be inspired, but were not, but we discovered that they have a fairly decent stained glass section..... then stopped by Badcock's furniture to get a credit for the other end table we didn't use in the river room. On the way back from the beach, we made a pit stop at Home Depot, since Bette is determined to paint the front door, since its a faded orange color, she chose flat black gloss, but on the way back home, she managed to talk herself out of that color, and will now go with white enamal gloss. Geez.
