What a difference between this operation and Bette's last back operation! Just 2 days in, today she was getting out of bed by herself to use the facilities, and was reporting very little residual pain. Of concern is that she is still "leaking" lots of fluids from her wound site, but the nurses assure us that she is well within the normal range for such activity.
Current guess is that she'll be on her way home by Friday. I'm happy for her, and glad she will apparently be back in good shape much sooner than originally planned.
