Athens approach to street people

I've been to lots of major cities across the US, and experienced my fair share of "street people", including NYC, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Denver, San Diego, Dallas, Atlanta, and others. Charleston SC rounds up all the street folks in the morning and sends them to a unused elementary school to keep them out of sight of the tourists. But, I must say, Athens' approach is one I haven't seen before. Feed the meter, don't feed the street people. We also saw cops on bikes.
