October 1st On down to Gila Bend and Ajo, well Why really

Just 91 miles on down to Gila Bend for a Bautista de Anza stop, then Ajo, really Why Az., which is 10 miles south of Ajo.  We are set up in the desert, for sure, with not too much to do for the next 5 months or so, besides seeing Trish and Shaun MacKenna in Phoenix when they come in October .

Sprinkled most of the day, but that helped moderate the temperatures,

As I mentioned, stopped in Gila Bend for 3 Bautista stamps:

And, safely in at the campground.  Good power, free Wi-Fi, no tv channels, until we get our antenna fixed, also no bathrooms or showers here!  Local knowledge, we just run down to the Why Not Grocery to use their facilities- just .04 mile down the road.

Also September's plate collections were not too bad: for the US, got 48/51, all but West Virginia and Delaware.  For Canada, just one province, Alberta: and 2 states for Mexico, BC and one other.

Also saw 24 state truck plates, and 15 state motor home tags

Tomorrow, we are heading up to Ajo to go grocery shopping, see where the laundromat is, and find a Sheriff's Deputy so he can verify a paper for Bette.
