June 8th On up to Kanab Utah today!

Here was the trip for today:

 

 

233.7 miles- Total moving time 4:23  We are currently in the Day's Inn Suites in Kanab.  Arrived about 350 or so.  Got a new Utah county, Kane County. 


First stop was Sunset Crater Volcano NM in Flagstaff AZ.  Only 2/5 stamps were out.

 

 



It's Sister Park, Wupatki was just 18 miles up the road...  They were doing road construction so we had several delays.  Got 2/3 stamps were there. 

 



Then, on to Page AZ, where we will head back to tomorrow night.  We decided to stop at the John Wesley Powell museum, got a bonus and an Old Spanish Trail NHT

Then, on down to the Carl Hayden VC for the Glen Canyon NRA.  Also got an Old Spanish Trail Stamp and one for Rainbow Bridge  NM



This marker was just down the street from the hotel- had to do with the founder of the town, a Mormon. 

Tomorrows plans are:
Anasazi Museum in Fredonia, The Kaibab NF Ranger Office in Fredonia, Pipe Spring NM, the Kaibab Plateau VC in Jacob Lake, then Marble Canyon AZ for the Navajo Bridge VC and Lees Ferry Law Enforcement Center, then on to the Travel Lodge in Page AZ.  Also need to stop at the HQ for Glen Canyon NRA.
