June 25th Visiting the Derrys in Roanoke

Short 2 hour trip this morning over to Roanoke Va to catch up with our pals the Derrys.   We finally got to meet Mom Susan, and the 2 youngest kids, and they are truly a beautiful family!  

We vegged out all day at their house, getting to know each other, having Chick Fil A for lunch, and then Susan made a wonderful Mexican dinner, featuring an Apple Pie made by David-  Wow!  We are not worthy!   We sadly left about 730-   We'll see the again in a week up in Hershey.   

Tomorrow is just 30 miles over to Bedford Va, for a tour of the National D-Day Memorial, and a trip up to one of Thomas Jefferson's Old Homes, Poplar Forest.
