The Stunning Canadian Niagara Falls

Long view towards the American Falls, the less spectacular of the two falls. We crossed over the bridge in the background to return to the US, which saved us at least an hour in clearing customs.
A view looking out over the Canadian Falls, or "Horseshoe Falls. We were blown away by the sheer volume of water that passes over the falls, and the speed of the water. Man!
The faithful "Maid of the Mist", which chugs upriver and almost into the Horseshoe Falls. All of the riders get drenched, of course.
Another view of the twin falls, in the foreground is the Canadian, downriver, the American falls. There was a constant mist raining down as you watched the Canadian side.
We left Toronto about 2, and then headed on down to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. We didn't have a clue how to get there, since we were having GPS problems, but we stumbled onto the drive that goes right by the falls. We were surprised at how close you are to the action, and trust me, you can hear the rumble! We finally found parking (at $14.00), but it was fairly close, and we walked over to the falls across the street. What a treat!! I think we all agree this is the hightlight of the trip so far. We'll go back on another day and visit the American side, just to get that perspective, but no way it can match the impact of the Canadian side!
What a day!
