Saturday June 30th. Lots of stops today......

Here was the trip map and stops planned for the day:

As I write this there is a terrific thunderstorm!  We are right in the middle of the bright red storm, lots of lightning as well.

Today, I basically did Biloxi, Ms.  Did several stops on the Miss Gulf NHA, and did quite a few markers as well:

This is a Peter Toth head right before you enter Ocean Springs MS.  Been to several Toth sites.

This railroad car has been repainted all red since this photo was taken.

There were lots of old fine hotels and buildings back in the day.  A lot of them are on the NRHP listings.

I also stopped in at MGM field, home of the Biloxi Shuckers, got a ball and pin, but no stamp!  I posted on Ballpark Stampeders, and got some immediate replies, looks like we'll have to go back! Beautiful new park downtown.

I had inputted some incorrect addresses into the GPS, so I blew a few stops.  I got to the Biloxi Visitor's Center, Beauvoir, which was Jefferson Davis's home place, and there was a Presidential Library there; the O'Keefe Museum, the Maritime and Seafood Museum, and I missed out on the Airport Baggage Claim spot.

Bette says she wants to come with me tomorrow, so we'll have to stop in at a Home Depot today so she can check out a Dremel Saw she has her eyes on .

Plates today:
