
The last of the three buildings on the main drag of Daytona Beach on the visit
Regarding S. H. Kress and Co. Building. The S. H. Kress and Co.
Building was built by the retail department store chain in 1932 and added to
the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 1983. The Art Deco-style
building is one of many Kress buildings nationwide which was designed by Edward
Sibbert, who served as the company's Chief Architect for 25 years before the
chain ceased operations in 1981.
