Today the focus will be on Northern Greenwood county and a couple of revisits and a visit to town for some sites.
Farthest out is the community of Donalds, where I will visit the Donald's Grange Building, on the National Register, and next door to it the Templeton Drake house which dates from 1794, just down the road is the old settlement known as Boonsboro. I'll also get to the Hodges Post Office.
Nearby is the Greenville Presbyterian Church, on the National Register, the Good Hope Baptist Church, then down towards Cokesbury Community is the old Payne Institute, which was the beginning of Allen University, plus a revisit to the Old Cokesbury College, Then to Parks Seed, then to the Tabernacle Cemetery, which houses lots of Confederate Veterans. Out that way there is supposed to be a marker for Dr Wesley C. Norwood on Highway 25, but I don't have a location for it- In town, I plan on getting to Dr. Benjamin May's Birthplace, a marker for Dr Benjamin Sanders, and a revisit to the old Greenwood Cemetery, and the Greenwood Visitor's Bureau.
Bette is taking Buster to be groomed, and Cooper to get another copy of his ID, since he lost his.
