June 14th Made it to the game ok!

We pushed ourselves a bit and made the 260 something miles in just about 5 hours, after picking up the new I phone and leaving Mammoth Mountain at 2:30.  Came through the High Sierras and some pretty scenery, passing through 2 pretty major mountain passes to do so.  One area was a surprise, the Marine Corps Cold Weather Training Center at Pickle Meadows, in Bridgeport, Ca,  I believe my Dad may have played a part in getting that center developed as a result of his work in the Korean War conflict.  It was nice to see, there were several helicopters flying around, and lots of Marines out doing field exercises.

We got to Oakland and decided to head straight for O.com stadium, which turned out good, they didn't charge the $20 for parking, and we got fairly close- the game was a sell out, and it was full!  Food prices were very high, long lines, and not much to choose from in the concession area as far as pins.   Yankees won big, 7-2.

Today, we are planning to hit a lot of the metro San Francisco locations- I have to stop in at a Verizon store to get my screen unlocked, I upgraded to the new 7.1.1 IOS, and the screen locked up on me, and I can't figure out how to get it fixed.  Then, just some fun touring.  Tomorrow is the Giants baseball game.
