June 10th Catching up with a very slow Connection......

Monday went pretty much as planned, we stopped first at the Nixon Library, had a nice leisurely tour of the facility, watched the movie, went through the helicopter, got the Library stamp. 

Then on up to Barstow, 3 stops there, the Headquarters for Mohave National Preserve, and two stops for the Old Spanish Trail.  

Then a longish ride over to Henderson to get to the motel.    

Today, we did the Hoover Dam this morning, it was way cool, then headed over to Lake Mead NRA and got our stamps, then on into Las Vegas.  We decided to go to the Stratosphere Hotel and ride the rides 1300 feet up in the air, but Coop decided at the last bit to pass.  Not a problem for me either!  

Sorry for the abbreviated reports, but the Internet here keeps dropping, and it is very frustrating.

Tomorrow is a long long day-  A canyon preserve, Death Valley, Manzanar National HS and a couple of other cities, and about 450 miles all together.   

Coop says he wants Mexican food tonight.  Early out in the morning!!!!
