Went to the Kansas City Downtown Airport- home of the Airline History Museum. This is in an old hangar- They have 3 rooms of interesting artifacts pertaining to the airlines, and inside the hangar, they have 3 planes in various states of restoration- One is an old DC3 that they have been working on for 19 years! They are very near being done, putting the last engine together.
There is also an older Martin 404 aircraft, and the prize piece, a fully restored Constellation. It was actually a cargo plane, but they have redone it as a passenger plane.
It was a nice visit.
