Bette roused me out of bed at 8 this morning, we had our usual cereal breakfast, and hit the road for one of our shorter legs- Ft Payne Alabama to Shipps RV/Camping World, Chattanooga Tennessee.
Got to Shipps after 61 miles and a coffee stop, arrived at 1044, but its only 944, because we crossed back into the Eastern Time Zone.
got set up in space 23, and will spent either one or two nights here, depends on how long they have the coach in tomorrow. We may just head on out towards Scottsboro and boondock somewhere tomorrow night, just to save the 26 dollars- Besides, the weather is nice, so we don't need to run the generator much if we stop-just enough to cool the coach down.
After we arrived, we ran 11 miles or so down the road to Chicamauga National Military Battlefield, so I could get the 6 new stamps they had, so they are now done. Beautiful visitor's center there. Last visited last year when Cooper and Dante were with us on the way to Memphis.
We were going to go to Michaels, but Bette changed her mind, so we wound up going to the big Flea Market across the street from the campground. She found some necklaces to buy for her beading.
Now, think we will just take the rest of the day off, I have to catch up on a lot of Lander work- and we need a rest day. Tomorrow the coach goes into the shop for what I hope is a quick not very expensive visit, we'll see.
Here's an aerial shot of Chattanooga, this is our 4th visit here, and we love this town...
