Started out this morning with plans to go over to Lander to see about the possibility of an on-line professorship, but late last night the department head emailed me that that wasn't going to happen, after inviting me over to discuss it. So, Bette, Brandon and I went over to our local Waffle House, and crammed in an All-Star. They had a new team of servers and a new cook on duty, so the usual fast and efficient service was not present. We almost didn't ever get our waffles, she burned the first ones, then forgot about our order. Patience, patience, patience.
Then, to highlight the morning, we motored up the street to the Big Lots, so Bette could cruise the craft aisles for stickers, and I managed to pick up a new 2010 calendar for the motor home. Bette is now furiously cutting paper and such as we speak- she has found a new craft, making greeting cards, and is actually good at it! We've been invited to dinner tonight at Val and Andy's out at their beautiful lake home- always a treat to join them for eating. Got a follow-up with Dr. Austin at 4:20 for my eyes. Tomorrow we pack and load for the trip to Dallas.
