Today, we slogged through the rain up to Belgrade Lakes, Maine, to visit with Ethel (Googles) and Joe Denorsik, who were are neighbors in 1982 on Hickory Corner Road in East Windsor NJ. They retired full time to the area in 1989. They have a beautiful home that once belonged to the brother of LL Bean, and have built on and rebuilt it after a kitchen fire last year. They both are in good health, and enjoy visits from their kids and grands and great grands. They live right on the lake, and enjoy the area. Joe schlepped into New York City for almost 25 years every day from East Windsor, bless his soul. They were good pals back then, and treated us to a nice lunch on our visit. Sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. We'll see them again next year, now that we know where they are. Thursday, July 2, 2009
A visit to next door neighbors we hadn't seen in 25 years
