Day started with a visit with the boys to McDonalds, good to have a good breakfast out! We also stopped by our attorney's office to do some paperwork- then on to Dr Austin's.
Went back to the eye Dr. today and was pleasantly surprised to see some immediate results. and mildly frustrated by some not so immediate results. They checked my near and far vision, and it turns out that immediately, my far vision has been corrected down to almost 20/15! The frustration is now of course, my glasses are useless. My near vision hasn't caught up yet, since the eye is still well dialated. More frustration. Glasses are still useless.
Near term solution is to not wear glasses for watching tv, and that seems to work. I'm trashed right now for reading or doing lots of computer work, or anything close up until the pupils adjust to the dialation. Then, the glasses will not be any good. Guess the end result is that I'll have to wait until second eye is done in a month or so before all will be in order. I may be able to use reading glasses (cheaters) for close up reading, will have to wait and see. Driving seems to be out of the question for a month or so.
So that's the eye saga. I put on the kids speedo swim goggles today and was able to take a shower without getting my eye wet, good deal- also got to go in the hot tub. Small pleasures!
