Went to the eye doctor today, and got answers to all the questions, and now we can plan what to do for the next few months.
The cataract surgery on my left eye will be next Tuesday, July 28th. Also during that surgery, the doctor will implant a Toric lens, which is an advancement in the treatment of astigmatisim, which I always had a bad case of. After a week later, I will be released to start our travel again, until September 1st, when I have another round of preparations for surgery on the right eye, which will take place on September 8th. That surgery will also be a dual surgery, also with toric implants, with the goal of eliminating the need for me to wear glasses at all, or at least, only reading glasses. This after wearing glasses since the third grade!
So now, I'll be busy planning our trip out to Dallas to see McClains again, then returning to Greenwood for the round of surgeries in the first week of September, then after that, we'll head to Beaufort and Ohio and then back to Florida for the winter by 1 November.
