Busy day, lots seen and done!

Busy day today, not in order, we stopped by Best Buy after lunch with Kingstons, with both of our laptops, which were not recognizing CD drives. Bette was loaded for bear, and let the geek know in no uncertain terms we were tired of making trip after trip trying to get the problem fixed.... turns out it was a simple fix, on the order of making sure your circuit breakers are tripped before you call the electrician out for an $86.00 house call.... anyway, problem solved, both laptops now recognize CD drives, we now know how to fix it should the problem present itself again, and it was a free fix. Score one for us!

After leaving Newberry, we headed on down to Denny's at Columbiana and had a catch up lunch with the Kingstons, whom we hadn't seen since beginning of May or so. Realized we shouldn't go so long without seeing our pals! We had an animated and total fun time for over 2 hours catching up. They are on their way back down to Elkton, and we'll catch back up with them when we get back down there at the end of August for a few days, then see them again in October, when we're heading up to Ohio together. Kippy showed us her latest card designs, she needs to patent them!
Started out the day heading on over to Newberry, stopped by the Opera House to see our pal Debbie Smith. She is peachy fine, her mom, who is 99, still walks a mile a day, and they just got back from a trip to Cincinnatti- geez what a woman!
Then over to First Community to see Brenda Smith and Denice Cates, they are both well- we also saw Chuck and Harriett Counts, then on down to Columbia. On the way back from Columbia we stopped by Prosperity to see Megan Meade in her new store- She looks super, and the store is beautiful! A good day!

Nothing on the schedule much for the weekend- got breakfast Sunday with Bev and Dave- got to talk them into coming down to Elkton permanently!
