The Windjammer Festival at Booth Bay Harbor Maine

Today, we set off about 70 miles up the coast to the town of Booth Bay Harbor, as they were having the annual "windjammer" festival, which celebrates the history of this old port and its love affair with things of the sea. We stopped at a local eatery for lunch, and it was terrific. Then they had a parade of old boats.
This is one of the old sailing ketches that paraded by.

This is a view from the restaurant we ate at, and this was a working lobster boat. There is also a view of the city proper, and its bay.

Same view, only here you can see some of the old houses that line the harbor. This place is absolutely beautiful. They have several interesting shops, and I bought a sweatshirt and a very nice parka. Also got a neat pin.
