We he aded up the highway at 8:00 this morning, right on schedule. Right away, we made an unscheduled stop at Hardee's so the boys could get breakfast. Then we headed on over to Exit 54 on I-26, at the Pilot store. After pumping our gas, the register "swallowed" the transaction, and there was only one clerk working, and the place was jammed, and long story short, it took us over an hour to leave, which we did with the issue still not resolved. Seems their help desk wasn't helping. and finally we agreed to leave and call it in. That's the second time that's happened, both times at Pilot. We're rolling up I-85 as we speak, having just crossed into North Carolina. Got about two hours to go.
Guessing we won't do the ball game tonight. The boys are talking swimming and putt putt. As we speak, they are both engrossed in their nintindos. And it's only the first three hours of the trip!
