We spent a good part of Saturday deep in the Amish country of Southern Ohio- Holmes County is the center of the settlement.
A typical view of the countryside- lots of rolling hills

This was the "restroom" facility at the store we visited Seems the Amish don't hold with modern conveniences, so the outhouse is what you get.

Note the two different kinds of buggies- The standard buggy on the left, and the cart on the left. Young single men use these to jet around the neighborhood- Families use the other versions. Horses are allowed to poop where they stand, some buggies have diaper bags, some not. We went to a couple of "bulk" stores, where food items are sold in bags- and also had dinner at a wonderful Amish style restaurant. We also visited a couple of other stores along the way. It's just now planting season around, and all the farms are busy.
