Spent a rainy, blustery day at the FDR home and Library. The house was expanded in 1915 from a "simple" farm house. Today, the house is in moderate need of repairs to my mind, and the interiors have been left as they were. Essentially, we learned, this was the house of FDR's mother. She lived there until she died in 1941.
We were able to walk through the first two floors.
This is the FDR library- which was unusual in that it was actually built and used while FDR was still alive- the only President to do so. The exhibits here were very well done.
FDR Burial site, on the grounds, just near the house.
I think that may be his son in front of him, not sure about the other, they said his dog was buried in here somewhere also.
