We finally got a weather break from all the steady rain, so we decided to run over to Kingston NY and get on the sailing ship Rip Van Winkle. We took a very nice two hour cruise down the Hudson River, all the way to the Vanderbilt Mansion area, and back. On the left is the lighthouse at Kingston, which has been restored.

This is a lighthouse out in the river itself. It too has been restored.

One of the several mansions that line the Hudson up and down the route. Tomorrow, weather permitting, we are planning on heading up to the area to see Hyde Park and the Roosevelt Library.
